I like the degree sweep with the scythe and the gaunlet's equivelant of the Harpoon Tackle Tremor Smash, I think. That's about the only moves I use. As for wrath abilities: I have Blade Geyser at level 2, but only made it level 2 so I could get the '10 deaths' achievement. The only priority is the scythes, since the later you get them, the more you have to grind their levels. You will be able to buy everything by the end, so it's not a GoW "Unless you grinded the sex game for souls, you can't get everything" situation.
